Support
There are two organisations which provide support to individuals with APD, or families with a child with APD. They are the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFD), and Hear for Families APDNZ. Hear for Families APDNZ (http://apd.org.nz/) is a national organisation that offers peer-support, advocacy and education for children and adults with APD and their families and carers. Hear for Families is a member organisation of the NFD and can be contacted directly or through the NFD.
